Wes Phillips has been in insurance since 1971. He was a captive agent with Farmers Insurance Group for 28 years as an agent and district manager before opening an Independent Agency. Wes operated Phillips & Associates, Inc for 4 years before merging with John Sawyer to form Sawyer-Phillips & Associates, Inc. in 2010. Wes is an avid OU fan and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Wes' passion is to find and learn about great wine which has earned him the affectionate nick name of "Cork Dork".

She manages our personal lines department, but is also extremely knowledgeable in Licensing and Contract Bonding. She brings to this office a phenomenal amount of experience dealing with the various companies we do business with on a daily basis.

Laura is a graduate of Union High School in Tulsa, OK. She had previously worked in the travel industry for 16 years handling large corporate accounts; she eventually left to pursue a career in the insurance field.

She has been a licensed agent since 2004 and has been with us for two years. Laura enjoys country living; is a small scale hobby farmer, and loves taking her horses trail riding.

David is a native Tulsan and a 1977 graduate of Oklahoma State University.  He became an insurance agent in 1984 and he was a captive agent for 26 years. 
The lure of becoming an independent agent and being able to offer his clients more than one option when it came to their insurance needs, finally got the better of David (thankfully!) and he isn't looking back.       
 
David is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and he also teaches for Stone Insurance Education.

I was born in McAlester Oklahoma, lived there till I was 11 moved to Bixby, OK then at 13 moved to Lake Keystone. I went to Cleveland Public School in Cleveland,OK. Troy was the first person my family met when we moved to Keystone. He was selling Blue & Gold Sausage, mom bought 2 sticks; we did not even eat sausage. Later Troy and I dated, then married, had three kids and now have several grandkids.

During all this I have owned and operated a cleaning service, spent 10 years as a customer service representative and completed a Bachelors degree in business. After finishing my degree I opened an insurance agency for a captive company. As I said before I was in customer service for several years, one thing very important to me is just that. But owning my own agency made me realize I can not be an expert in everything. I joined a team of experts; Sawyer-Phillips and Associates, Inc.

For me insurance is not just a job or career. It is a way to help people, individually and/or professionally to protect their self, family and their business. I also believe it is important to be involved in the community. I am a Rotarian, Board member of the Sand Springs Area Chamber, and active in a new church plant in Sand Springs.

Lynda Melone, President of Insurance Solutions, Inc. is the wholesaler for life insurance products for Sawyer-Phillips and Associates, Inc. Her career in the insurance industry spans a period of nearly three decades. She began her career as an administrative assistant at Northwestern Mutual Life. In 1984 she accepted an offer to join a local independent brokerage agency where she served for nearly twenty years as administrative assistant and later as office manager. Lynda was instrumental in the day-to-day operation of a general agency, which served over 100 brokers across northeastern Oklahoma.

In 2004 Lynda brought together her many years of experience and multiple talents in the insurance industry and created Insurance Solutions, Inc. Through Solutions she markets a wide array of life and annuity products through such highly rated companies as American National, Genworth Life and Annuity, John Hancock, Lincoln Benefit, MET Life, Prudential, Transamerica Occidental and many others. She also offers additional products and services such as Short Term Medical, Overseas Medical, High Limit Accidental Death and Dismemberment and International Term Insurance.

Lynda has been married since 1999 to Jim Melone. Jim is an estate-planning attorney in Tulsa. She has two children, Natalie and Logan. Family vacations typically involve a cabin, a lake and fishing. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, cooking and exercising.
